The pendant has a narrow opening running right through it. You wear it like any other necklace. And whenever you like, you can lift it to your lips and breathe out through it. The opening is narrow — narrow enough that the air takes its time on the way out, so your exhale becomes a long, slow one. Not because anything special happens, simply because the opening is small.

No app. No battery. Nothing that beeps, blinks or asks for your attention. Just a small piece of silver that hangs where it hangs, until you want it.

How to use it

1. Breathe in gently through your nose, as you normally would.
2. Lift the pendant and rest it lightly against your lips.
3. Breathe out through the small opening, for as long as feels comfortable.

The Momo Jord Breathing Necklace is worn like any other pendant. Some people like to hold it for a moment of stillness — a small ritual, a pause in the day, a reminder to take a long, slow exhale. And when you are not using it, it is simply a beautiful piece of jewellery.

An object that asks nothing of you

We carry a lot through a day — obligations, screens, queues, lists that never end. Almost everything around us wants something: a reply, a click, a charge, an update. The breathing necklace wants nothing. It rests cool against your chest and now and then catches the light when you least expect it. Something beautiful close to the skin, chosen because you like it.

Why the opening is so small

The narrow opening is the signature of the piece. It gives the necklace its character, catches the light and casts a soft shadow against the skin. And it is just narrow enough that the air cannot rush out — it has to take its time. That is the whole idea: one small detail in the silver that turns an ordinary exhale into a long one.

The gently inward-curving shape sits comfortably against the lips and between the fingers. There are no sharp edges, so it can be worn all day.

Material and craft

• Handmade in solid 925 sterling silver of high quality. Nickel-free.
• 925 means 92.5% pure silver; the rest is copper for strength — the same alloy used in fine silver jewellery. Each piece is stamped 925.
• Clean lines and a characteristic opening that gives the piece its distinctive shape.
• Minimalist design — a calm form that pairs with both everyday and dressed-up wear.
• Each piece is cast by hand, which is why no two are exactly alike. The surface is not polished to a mirror; it has a living character that darkens slowly in the curves and brightens where you touch it. After a year, your necklace looks like yours.

Three sizes — how to choose

All three share the same shape, the same silver and the same price. They differ in width and in how much they show.

• Original — approx. 20 × 6 mm. The size we started with, and the one most people choose. Slim, discreet and easy to wear every day. Not sure? Choose Original.
• Larger — approx. 21 × 8 mm. A little more presence, the same proportions. The opening grows with the size.
• Extra Large — approx. 22 × 10 mm. A clear statement piece.

Measurements exclude the loop the chain passes through (about 10 mm more). The pendant weighs just 2–3 grams, so you stop noticing it after a while. As every piece is hand-cast, sizes can vary slightly. Buying more than one — one for you and one to give away? The price per piece drops the more you take.

The chain

• Silver chain sold separately (see below) — many people already have a chain they love, and necklace length is a personal thing.
• Our matching 925 silver chain is 50 cm, which sits just below the collarbone — close at hand whenever you want to lift the pendant to your lips.

Care

• Wipe with the included polishing cloth to keep the silver bright. If it darkens over time, that is not a flaw — it is what silver does, and the cloth brings the shine back.
• Avoid contact with perfume, chlorine, and harsh cleaners. Take it off in chlorinated pools and don’t leave it in sea water for long.
• Take it off during hard physical activity — silver is soft and can pick up marks.
• Store in the gift bag when not worn.
• The pendant is small. Keep it out of reach of children under 3.
