Momo Jord Hammock Kit — using it all safely

The kit is a complete hammock system: hammock, underquilt, tarp and Bishop Bag. Safety and care advice for each part lives on its own page — linked below.

Before your first night out

Read through the safety and usage guide for each part. It takes 10 minutes and is worth it:

• Momo Jord Hammock — most important, since it carries your weight.
• Daisy chain straps — the suspension.
• Momo Jord Underquilt — care and proper hanging.
• Momo Jord Large Tarp or Asym Tarp — depending on which one is in your kit.
• Bishop Bag — the stuff sack.

The essentials at a glance

• Max load 200 kg for the hammock with its standard suspension. One person.
• Living, healthy trees with a trunk at least 15 cm thick.
• The hang point should be low enough that you can get out without a leg-up — hip to knee height from the lowest point of the hammock to the ground.
• Not over water, cliffs, fires or rocky ground.
• In a thunderstorm — get out of the woods.
